About Us

As a lifelong resident of the State College area, Jason Kunkle was involved with several community park tree planting projects that stimulated his interest in landscaping. While attending Penn State University, he began his landscape career in 2006 by working during the summers and in between classes. Jason graduated from the Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Contracting & Design in 2008. After graduation he worked full time for a local company as the lead project sales & designer until 2014.

Driven by a vision to build something of his own, Jason took the leap into entrepreneurship and founded GreenStar Landscaping LLC in 2013.

​

Today, Jason’s primary focus is transforming his clients' outdoor dreams into reality. He works closely with his team every week to ensure the highest standards of workmanship, growth, and attention to detail on every jobsite. Jason’s greatest strength lies in truly understanding a customer’s vision and translating it into a stunning, functional landscape that will endure for years to come.

•  For clients looking for a complete visual transformation, custom design packages are available. Design fees are handled as an upfront investment prior to your formal design review meeting with Jason.
